NOAASIS Satellite & Direct Readout Information
The NOAA Satellite Information System (NOAASIS) web site is a central location for finding information about NOAA environmental satellites (GOES and POES). Information is provided by various contributors within the National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) and the external satellite community. This site provides information of particular interest to users who operate their own direct readout receiving stations.

The Initial Joint Polar-Orbiting Operational Satellite System (IJPS)
The IJPS is the result of a cooperative effort between the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the European Organization for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT). It is comprised of two polar-orbiting satellite systems and their respective ground segments. The IJPS will provide and improve the operational meteorological and environmental forecasting and global climate monitoring services worldwide.
